First post nothingness

This is a bit of a nothing (especially for a first post) but it seemed remarkable to me today that I didn't get any of the following whilst out for a cycle:
  • Water balloon thrown at me (which happened yesterday)

  • A toot of a car horn and 'the fingers' out the car window (as happened the day before yesterday)

  • Random shouting abuse from children (which also happened yesterday). Invariably, it's nigh on impossible to make out the exact words of such abuse but it's easy to tell it is indeed abuse
I'm sure I could add many more if I thought about it further back than just two days ago but that'll do as I'm too sleepy to write a huge rant. Besides, I can keep all that for a babbling tirade of the future.

Getting back to today's wittering, about as much as I had was a trio of millbags (aka teenage skanky girls, for those not familiar with the 'millbag' colloquialism) doing that typical sarcastic wolf-whistle. Whilst I would like to fool myself into believing any wolf-whistling was completely wholehearted and the result of my attraction leading people to feel forced to whistle at me, I'm afraid I doubt this is the case. I would guess it is somehow linked to wearing lycra bib-shorts whilst cycling and it being so bold as to expose me from the knees down to my ankles. If I was without socks, just think of the excitement that could cause.

The general sarcastic/smart-arsed way people get on when one is out in cycling garb begs the question 'What the hell do you think I should wear then?' I mean, do these 'witty' types suggest I go out in top hat, tails and a cravat whilst cycling in the boiling hot sun or is it simply their being ignorant types which leads to such commentry?

That'll do me for my first post. Thanks for looking at this blog and for taking the time to read my post(s).
