Stinking horrible weather, I hate you

At this moment in time, the weather isn't my best buddy at all. Today I had planned to go for a cycle to some waterfalls near us and have my lunch there. Gorsebank took me to these waterfalls whilst out cycling last Sunday and they were very lovely indeed. Alas, it's piddling down rain and that has scuppered my afternoon's plans, leaving me inside writing a grumpy entry in this bit right here.

It's only the latest in a series of bad weather here. We're not talking about hurricanes or anything but here's a synopsis of the last four days (including today):
  • Tuesday, 18th October - Strong winds, overcast but dry
  • Wednesday, 19th October - No wind worth talking about (oh hurrah) but constant rain all day (poop)
  • Thursday, 20th October - Strong winds but clear skies (admittedly, I managed to get out for a cycle but it was tough going and much less fun than cycling without such winds)
  • Friday, 21st October - Very little wind but heavy constant rain
Lately I've been finding it tough enough to motivate myself to get off my lazy fattening arse and on my bike and this weather isn't making things any easier. I think I'm starting to get myself adjusted to the changing of the seasons and recovering my cycling enthusiasm (albeit for shorter runs than those I would do in summer) but this weather, aaargh!
